Global Methodist Women Prayer Chain
IMG_1132When Fountain Park GMC was built, above the Erie Avenue entrance, “The House of Prayer” was engraved.  We are called to be praying people.

The volunteer Prayer Committee for the Global Methodist Women’s group is dedicated to continually encourage our church members to pray for the sick and to intercede on behalf of someone else who needs God’s help.

Individual Prayers:  Every week a list of those in need of prayer for various health and life issues are listed in the bulletin.  More people are experiencing sudden illnesses and medical problems.  Drug, substance abuse and overdoses are running high among all age groups in our country.  Unfortunately people are choosing suicide as they lose hope.  Please pray for these individuals with their struggles that they may is the light of Christ and receive healing and hope from our Lord and Savior.

Life and Faith Issues:  With immorality become more widespread and the destruction of the family as intended by God, our society has become lost and confused.  We pray for life, liberty and the Christian Church that once again we rebuild our society on the foundation of God whose grace and word of love and forgiveness is for everyone.  He is the way, the truth and the light that can give our lives everlasting life.

Country & Worldwide:  We live in struggling times with economic problems, stress created by gender confusion, immoral teaching in schools and mandates dictated by government leaders.  Prayers for our nation and leaders who have gone astray that they will bring Christ back into our lives.  As our nation becomes more and more divided for political gain, we must find ways to reach across that divide and pray for tolerance and respect for all of God’s people.  We pray for persecuted Christians around the world including in the USA.  Safety for Law Enforcement Officers and Military personnel.  Human Trafficking Victims in America and along our southern boarder.  Prayers for safety for the Langteau Family & the Bell Family doing mission work.  Pray for New Missions in Haiti.  Prayers for the people Ukraine and that Russia will end this war.  Prayers for those struggling through disasters, natural or manmade.

Special Prayer Request – America:  America struggles with moral breakdown, family disintegration, political groups dividing our country & attacking our heritage, Christians losing their constitutional rights, failure of international affairs, economic struggles.  What should Christians do during these dark times in America?  Pray!!!  Pray for the Biden administration that they open their hearts to God’s righteous path and guidance. Pray for State, County and City leaders that they follow God’s will.  Pray for those that are intolerant of Christian Biblical truth to open their hearts to God’s love.  Pray for those killing the innocent defenseless unborn that they may choose life, not death.  Pray for those that oppose the United States and that they may embrace our God given rights.  Also get involved in the political process by getting out and vote and consider running for office.  We need our Christian voices to be heard.  Now is not the time to be complacent, but to take action and keep our eyes on our Savior and pray for God’s strength and wisdom and get involved.

US Israel FlagsSpecial Prayer Request – Israel
“When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.” – Psalm 145:16   Please take a moment to pray for impoverished and struggling families in Israel. Pray for the resources they need to make ends meet during difficult times.  Also pray for safety from the threats Israel faces from unfriendly governments & terrorists that either undermine their security or have intentions to bring harm to their country.  We pray that the Biden administration doesn’t turn it’s back on the country of Israel and continues to foster the strong relationship that was developed between Israel and America prior to Mr. Biden taking office.

Warren visitingThe Unrivaled Power of Prayer
We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning’s which cannot be uttered.  Romans 8:26
We realize that we are energized by the Holy Spirit for prayer; and we know what it is to pray in accordance with the Spirit.

The Undetected Sacredness of
Circumstances
We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.  Romans 8:28
The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God.  In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance.
